Iron Neck Pro Review: A Must For Strengthening Your Neck?

I always used to get some serious neck pain every time I exercised.

I asked a couple of workout buddies for some advice and they told me I should probably do some neck exercises to improve stability.

I did a little research into the subject and came across the Iron Neck Pro and I’ve got to tell you, it changed everything.

What to Look for in Neck Support Products

The neck is one of the more sensitive parts of the human body and even though it might not appear to be the case, it’s used for all sorts of different motions and exercises.

When your neck doesn’t have proper support, usually because of having untrained muscles, it can cause significant levels of pain during or after workouts.

Fortunately, there are quite a few neck support products out there that can provide you with an easy, safe way to train your muscles to avoid strain and injury.

When on the lookout for a neck support product, there are a couple things to keep in mind.

First, the product’s directions for use have to be simple to follow.

This might seem to be an upside when it comes to any piece of exercise equipment, but when dealing with a sensitive area like the neck, it’s really important to be able to follow directions to prevent lasting damage.

If a neck training device is overly complicated, you should give it a pass just to be safe.

Secondly, a device designed with neck muscles in mind should be comfortable to wear.

Obviously there might be a bit of strain after a workout session, but if you’re noticing any sort of sharp pain, then that’s indicative of something that’s causing more harm than good.

Some ill-fitting devices can actually cause bruising if used too frequently and can make exercise difficult.

Thirdly, neck training equipment needs to be well-balanced. It’s important when exercising your neck muscles to make sure everything is worked out evenly.

If you get your hands on a device that works out some neck muscles more than others, then you’ll end up with a combination of muscles that are overworked, under strengthened, and generally unable to support you during rotational exercises.

At the time of writing, there was a great deal available. Click here to see if it’s still running…

What Is the Iron Neck Pro?

The Iron Neck Pro is an easily adjustable neck strengthening tool that provides users with a variety of exercises that are designed to build muscle or maintain muscle strength.

A more advanced form of the Iron Neck Varsity and the Iron Neck Starter, consistent use of the Iron Neck Pro is useful for protecting against head injury, increasing rotational ability, and preventing excess neck pain.

The device is well-acclimated to all head sizes and is very versatile. It’s usable with both resistance bands and cable pulleys.

The device is pretty comprehensive overall, although it does have a couple imperfections.

What Are the Benefits of the Iron Neck Pro?

The Iron Neck Pro is very advanced when compared to most other neck strengthening devices.

It not only presents general advantages, such as pain relief and concussion resistance, but can be easily adapted to suit individual needs and is versatile enough that any unique musculature will benefit from its use.

Great at Pain Relief

Iron Neck Pro 6

One of the primary reasons why neck muscles tend to hurt during or after workouts is because of a lack of muscular support.

Even if it seems minor, there are a whole host of shoulder, torso, and cardio exercises that use at least some neck muscles.

If these muscles aren’t properly strengthened and maintained, the end result is a lot of very painful muscle strain.

With the Iron Neck Pro, muscles from the upper shoulders all the way up to the bottom of the head are given a complete workout.

The end result is that during exercise sessions, there is enough muscular strength in the neck to meet the support needs of other muscle groups, reducing strain and ultimately, pain.

In addition, the device is pretty good at working out other muscles that accompany its use, primarily those in the lower back and in the calves.

Definitely Well-Balanced

Unlike similar neck strengthening tools, the Iron Neck Pro is designed to be circular, distributing force around the head instead of just in specific spots.

This ends up exercising neck muscles everywhere and gives your neck an even level of muscle buildup.

The device is designed to have an anchor point that operates from the back rather than the front.

This results in a much more fluid motion and better muscle buildup as all the force placed on the neck comes from a much more natural-feeling angle.

The Iron Neck’s circular shape also evenly distributes weight as you move.

Whether you move left, right, up, or down, tension placed on the device will appropriately shift to prevent some muscles from being overworked while others are left unaffected.

This is in contrast to most neck strengthening equipment which use mostly stable weight that end up unevenly affecting your neck depending on how you move.

In addition to greater comfort and better muscle growth, the device’s more even distribution of tension means that you’ll have a much larger field of motion; resulting in more flexibility and exercise options.

Has Lots of Fitting Options

Iron Neck Pro 2

Especially when dealing with this type of equipment, having everything fit well is a huge plus.

Fortunately, the Iron Neck Pro has a ton of adjustment options that allow you to maximize comfort and still get results.

The device has an easily moveable chin strap that you can use for stability and support.

It also comes with several different foam pads which are used to comfortably hold your head in place.

They range from ½ inch to 1.5 inches in length and put at the front of the device.

In addition, the Iron Neck Pro is embedded with AirFit technology near the back which can either inflate or deflate to meet the fitting needs of users.

Comes with a Lot of Potential Exercise Patterns

Most devices or standalone neck strengthening exercises are usually limited to a select number of routines, but the Iron Neck Pro takes everything to the next level.

The equipment comes with a series of instructional videos which can show users which exercises are best used with the Iron Neck Pro.

These include spinning, left-right head movements, lifting the neck up and down, and body turning.

Although more advanced exercises on the scale include moving in figure eight and diagonal motions.

It’s recommended that in order to maximize effectiveness overall, the Iron Neck Pro should be paired with other kinds of workouts such as exercise band pull-aparts and medicine ball throws.

Has Multiple Settings for the Ideal Workout

Iron Neck Pro 4

When it comes to personalizing the settings for the Iron Neck Pro, the possibilities are quite expansive.

How much physical tension accompanies the Iron Neck Pro is dependent on how far away you are from where the attached resistance band is.

The closer you are, the easier the workout. If you want to max out your efforts, then stand as far away from the band hookup point as possible.

You can also change which muscle groups in the neck are primarily affected by adjusting the anchor position up or down, which has the additional benefit of enhancing certain exercises.

In addition, you can change how weight is distributed when you move by changing the pivot joint, which shifts tension based on whether you move your neck or your waist.
