The Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk is a great solution to a big problem all over the world – people sitting too much at a computer.

Sitting too much is literally killing people. They’re developing diseases like diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular issues, and more.

Having a great sit-stand desk will allow you to work and attend to your health at the same time.

There are a lot of great ones out there, but this article will highlight all the benefits of the Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk.

Keep reading to find out more.

How to Shop for a Sit-Stand Desk

People have their priorities when shopping for certain things, but too many people allow price to be their top priority.

We all want to save a few bucks, but a sit-stand desk is not a product you should skimp on. After all, you’re going to have your invaluable computer on it.

In addition, sitting for long hours can lead to back pain.

Ideally, you want to avoid sitting for long periods of time as it can lead to some belly fat.

Here are some criteria you should use when browsing for a sit-stand desk. (Spoiler alert: the Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk meets all these criteria with flying colors).

Type

There are two main types of sit-stand desks: floor desks and tabletop desks. Tabletop desks will save you money because it’s literally half of a desk.

You could get more features for less money and they’re portable so you can use them anywhere.

However, it’s a bit redundant – putting a desk on a desk. Plus, if you don’t already have a desk then you’ll need a floor desk.

Quality and Build

Your number one concern when purchasing one of these desks should be quality and build. You need something sturdy and dependable – no exceptions.

Sorry – these won’t come cheap.

This doesn’t mean you need to empty your wallet to get a decent sit-stand desk. There are some great mid-price options to choose from.

In fact, besides the Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk, I give you some great examples in the Alternatives section.

The desk you choose should have thick, sturdy legs. Don’t choose a desk with thin, flimsy legs. They aren’t going to be very supportive.

Be cautious of plastic desks. They won’t last as long as metal or wood desks. They’re also not as heavy-duty.

You’ll probably want to make sure the desk can adjust from sitting to standing height easily. Having to struggle to adjust the desk is just going to irritate your back and your mood.

Extras

Some desks come with advanced features, but keep in mind that these will raise the price of the desk.

Examples of these features are built-in seats, motorized height adjusters, keyboard trays, drawers, cable managers, and more.

These features aren’t necessary, but they can make your life easier.

The Teeter Coreworks Sit-Stand Desk

Out of all the sit-stand desks I’ve seen, the Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk is, hands down, the best.

It’s high-quality, made by an incredible manufacturer, and has just the right amount of features without being too gimmicky.

It’s not cheap but it’s not priced ridiculously high either. It’s in the Goldilocks zone – everything is just right.

Features and Benefits of the Teeter Coreworks Sit-Stand Desk

Compact, Mobile Design

The Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk is great because it’s extremely sturdy while being compact and easy to move.

It’s made of heavy-duty, thick-gauged steel and beautifully stained wood for the desk surfaces.

Even the wheels are a superb quality. If you’ve ever had to deal with flimsy, plastic casters, you’ll appreciate the heavy-duty metal casters on this desk.

Despite the compact size, the desk can handle a lot of weight. The desk can support up to 150 pounds and the side desk can support an additional 50 pounds.

The seat can support up to 250 pounds of user weight. It measures up to 37″L x 39.5″W x 46″H.

These are the maximum dimensions since the whole desk is adjustable (more about this in the next section).

Adjustability

The number of ways the Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk can adjust is unbelievable.

Every part of it adjusts – the height of the seat, the height of the desk, the distance of the seat from the desk, the distance of the side table from the desk, and more.

Other mentionable adjusting features include the tilting desk. The desk can tilt between four different angles – 0°, 15°, 30°, and 45°.

This allows you to use it for a variety of purposes. Use your laptop, use it to read, use it to write, or even use it for drawing.

The seat also tilts. It doesn’t have specific degree settings. It can be set anywhere from 0° to 30°.

The desk, seat, and side table can all be adjusted vertically and horizontally.

The best part is that it’s easy to adjust everything with the smooth-moving pull knobs and pins.

It’s safe to say that you’ll have no problem fitting to this desk no matter what your size is.

Extras

The Teeter Coreworks™ Sit-Stand Desk comes with some interesting extra features that you’ll enjoy. To start, the wood parts come in two color choices.

You can choose between a dark wood similar to an oak color or a light wood similar to a pine color.

The desk has a built-in storage compartment that’s perfect for pens, pencils, and other tools. The base doubles as a foot stand.

When you’re ready to stand up, the seat easily swivels out of the way or you can detach it and move it completely.

This desk is perfect for getting out of the chair and getting the circulation flowing. It wouldn’t be comfortable all day as the stool is not super comfy, but I like this as it encourages movement. I usually end up just putting my knee up on it for a small break from standing.

Review #3 – Customer

Too much sitting is unhealthy.

I am using the desk right now as I write the review. It works great – so glad to have and use it. They say that ”sitting is the new smoking”- this desk makes it more feasible to stay off the butt and get things done at the desk simultaneously.

Review #4 – Karen J.

No More Sore Back and Neck

This desk is great for me. I don’t have to sit and work all day. It is easy to assemble and to adjust. My back and neck feel so much better.

Alternative Choices to the Teeter Coreworks Sit-Stand Desk

Vivo Sit-Stand Desk

The Vivo Sit-Stand Desk is a table top desk that is built extremely well. You aren’t going to find many table top desks with this level of quality.

It’s spacious enough for two monitors and it has a keyboard tray. It can adjust from 6.5″ high to 17″ high.

Best of all, it has an automatic lift assist that has up to 33 pounds of force. You can lift your computer/monitors easily with the press of a button.

If you travel a lot for business, this is the perfect accessory. It’s compact and lightweight and can easily fit in your vehicle.

Although it has an automatic lift, it’s a hydraulic system so it doesn’t need to be plugged in. You could even use it outdoors.

Flexispot Sit-Stand Desk EC1-48

The Flexispot Sit-Stand Desk EC1-48 is the most versatile choice on the list. It comes in five different sizes and eight different colors.

It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does have an electric height adjustment which is gold when it comes to large desks like this.

The desk only holds 154 pounds which, for a desk this size can be a bit disappointing. However, computers aren’t that heavy anyway so if you’re using it for light-duty work, you’ll be fine.

If you have an eclectic taste, this would be an excellent choice for you. With all the colors and sizes this company offers, you can find a suitable selection for any decor.

I also like the fact that the design can fit in with many different themes.

Out of all the desks on the list, the Vari Electric Sit-Stand Desk has the best features. To start, it has a nice, modern look that will fit in with stylish offices.

It has a cable management system, an under desk organizer, and hooks to hang accessories such as headphones, keys, and more.

It has two cable holes on the desk top and can support up to 154 pounds. The most impressive feature is the anti-collision technology.

This desk is a great desk for people who like the latest and greatest of everything.

Plus, it’s priced at a great price – even less than the Coreworks desk. It’s a bit more compact than the last one so it would be suitable in smaller spaces.
