My job has me on the road most of the time.

Oftentimes, I’ll find myself in a hotel without a gym or a fitness center nearby for a few days with different accounts.

While I’d usually resort to a morning jog or doing bodyweight exercises from my hotel room to keep up with my fitness during my time away from home, the Fusion Motion Portable Gym has allowed me to do so much more with my workouts now.

What is a Portable Home Gym?

Traditional home gyms are limited by their size.

They typically are heavy duty workout stations focused on cardio training or strength training, and are worth hundreds of dollars.

If you wanted to invest in an elliptical or a workout bench, you would need to find room in your home or garage gym to put it in, and if you ever wanted to move this piece of equipment, the furthest you can get with it is by rolling it down the hall to another room or into a closet.

Portable home gyms are a fairly new fitness product that combines sets of fitness tools and resistance bands, and combines them into an ultimate package that allows you to get strength, resistance, and sometimes cardio training exercises without having to invest in gym memberships or more commercial-level fitness equipment.

The main appeal of portable home gyms is in its ability to be packed up easily so that you can take your workouts with you in various different settings.

If you travel often, or if you like to do workouts outside, then a home portable gym gives you that option to do so.

Because portable home gym sets offer various fitness tools, you’re able to get a variety of workouts in for a total body workout.

If, however, you’d like to focus in on a particular muscle group or body part, you’re able to do that as well with a home portable gym.

A portable home gym also lends itself to quick, accessible workouts for various fitness levels – whether you’re a nonathlete beginner or more seasoned fitness enthusiast.

In addition, there is some potential for making your workouts more social with a home portable gym if you’d like to get together with some friends and set up in the park or beach.

If you’re not the type to workout socially, and prefer to keep your workouts private, setting up in the backyard or living room is easy enough as well.

Things to Consider Before Buying a Portable Home Gym

I’ll be honest – I was excited when I saw options for a portable home gym.

Living in an apartment, I don’t really have the luxury of a lot of space to work with where I can set up a treadmill or a home gym.

For me, seeing a portable home gym that’s easy to break down, store away, and take with you anywhere just made sense.

But before you go out and invest in a portable home gym, here are a few thing you’ll want to take into consideration.

Your Fitness Goals

Your fitness goals are always an important factor you’ll want to consider when shopping around for fitness equipment.

In this case, when you’re evaluating whether or not you should invest in a portable home gym, you’ll want to consider if the items included in the portable home gym can help you reach those fitness goals.

For those who are looking to enter the next bodybuilding contest, a portable home gym might not have enough by itself to help you realize the goals you’ve set for yourself in a bodybuilding contest.

If you’re looking for intense cardio workouts, an upright exercise bike, air bike, or treadmill might be better fitness equipment for you to invest in.

Your Existing Fitness Equipment

One thing that may turn you off from a purchase of a portable home gym is if you already have a lot of the pieces that come equipped with a portable home gym set.

Luckily, I didn’t have much in terms of fitness equipment when I bought mine, but if you’ve been on top of your fitness and have invested some already in other fitness equipment, you might not see the need to invest in another ab roller or push up stand.

Looking back, I would say buying a portable home gym was more of a spontaneous purchase for me.

I was shopping around one day looking for an ab roller for my hotel stays and stumbled upon the Fusion Motion Portable Gym.

Portability

The portability of the Fusion Motion Portable Gym set is the biggest draw for this collection of fitness equipment.

Not only are the pieces small enough to put in a bag, the Fusion Motion Portable Gym actually includes a bag for you to put them in when you’re on the go so you can take them with you anywhere!

What Others Are Saying About the Fusion Motion Portable Gym

There’s a lot I like about the Fusion Motion Portable Gym – primarily the portability and variety of workouts I can accomplish with the Fusion Motion Portable Gym.

While I like and am satisfied with this product, there are people on both sides of the fence.

For those who liked the product, they shared my feelings about how cost effective this product is for helping them improve their fitness.

Instead of spending hundreds of dollars on expensive fitness equipment and gym fees, they’ve been able to condense all of those expenses into a single product that gives them the ability to do similar exercises without the need for getting separate specialized equipment for each body part they are working out.

There were some people, however, who did not see the value in the Fusion Motion Portable Gym, and instead felt that the Fusion Motion Portable Gym was sturdy enough to support them for their more intense workout needs.
